  I thought I 'chirp in' about the binoculars.  My vision has never been good; (wore glasses since 4th grade) and is changing every year.  I used Bushnell for years and years, but last year for my birthday got Steiner bins 10X42 power.  I've been very pleased with them, the glass is clear, and the focus knob very steady. Their weight is about on par with the Swaroski.  Built very well, picked them up on sale at Cabela's.
