This morning I saw the adult Black-crowned Night-Heron at Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro.

This evening on my way home from my Mom's house in Bowie, I stopped at Fran Uhler at 8:00 pm. A Blue Grosbeak was singing from the high wires. A Summer Tanager called for over half an hour from the low wires and at 9:00 pm two Whip-poor-wills started singing. All were seen and/or heard from the gate area.
