I've wanted to post but been too busy last few days. I thought I saw a Stilt there last Thurs morn (7 am). Looked very good for Stilt but wasn't sure due to distance (only had bins). Also, no dickcissel noticed then (refer to 7-15 post from E Hendricks). Went back with scope on Friday (~ 5 pm) to look for Stilt but did not see one, and no Dickcissel either (but heard plenty of Blue Grosbeak and Indigo Bunting singing). Noted some of the INBU calls sound somewhat similar to a portion of Dickcissel' song. Checked again briefly on Sat afternoon, with no Stilt.

This morn at 7 am dropped off the recycles and trash, and then scanned the pond with scope, and to my surprise found a Stilt sand! A real beauty. Hard to say, but it may be a different bird than previous one seen. If it is same one, it seems to move around. A few Stilts were noticed (posted) elsewhere the last few days, they seem to be moving now. Other shorebirds seen there today: 9 Killdeer; 2 Lesr Yellowlegs; plus 4 Solitary, 17 Least, and 1 Spotted Sandpiper (note: noticably fewer peep numbers today than last few days).

Cheers!
