Anticipating perhaps a good influx of migrants the day after Earl
passed by, I headed to Oregon Ridge Park this morning. There I
recorded 13 warbler species with BLUE-WINGED WARBLER, TENNESSEE
WARBLER, BAY-BREASTED WARBLER and CAPE MAY WARBLER among the
highlights. Leslie Starr and Joe Turner joined me later in the
morning, but unfortunately by that time the winds had increased and
the birds had all but vanished. Even so, we headed to Cromwell Valley
Park and I added one more new warbler, Common Yellowthroat. We also
added 5 BLUE GROSBEAK, WARBLING VIREO, and a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK.
All-in-all it was a great morning to be out! Warbler totals below:

Oregon Ridge Park 720 - 1015

Blue-winged Warbler     1
Tennessee Warbler     3
Nashville Warbler     1
Northern Parula     1
Chestnut-sided Warbler     12
Magnolia Warbler     5
Cape May Warbler     1
Black-throated Blue Warbler     1
Black-throated Green Warbler     30
Blackburnian Warbler     2
Bay-breasted Warbler     1
Black-and-white Warbler     4
American Redstart     8

Cromwell Valley Park 1045 - 1220

Chestnut-sided Warbler     1
Magnolia Warbler     1
Black-and-white Warbler     2
American Redstart     1
Common Yellowthroat     1

Good birding!
