My drummer found s budgerigar yesterday in the middle of the storm,
shivering at his mailbox. A special delivery indeed. The bird was a
bit out of sorts, but he took it in out of the rain. His email this
AM:
"Sadly, our new little friend, who we fell in love with immediately,
seems to be sick and probably not long to go. I'll attach a shot sus
took of him yesterday afternoon. This morning, he just wants to sleep,
and when you talk to him, he looks at you and tries to peep, but not a
sound comes out :( Yesterday, he was chatting to us pretty good."
Any suggestions for helping this bird, aside from the avian ER? Miracle cures?
Talk about an interesting storm bird.
In other news, Stan, Robert and I had a nice assortment of storm birds
at Sandy Point yesterday afternoon. Three LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS
were my highlight!
Good Birding,
