Greetings,

I saw and photographed a dark morph Rough-legged Hawk at Blackwater  
NWR today on Shorter's Wharf Road. The bird was perched on a large  
dead tree on the left side of the road as you approach Shorter's Wharf  
from the refuge. It is the last sizeable dead tree before you get to  
the wharf. I am sure the photos I got are blurry because he flew away  
almost immediately. If they are any good I'll post them for anyone who  
is interested. Also, the White Pelican was back in place in his usual  
spot off of Key Wallace Drive. I haven't seen the pelican or a post  
about him in quite a while.
