Towpath birds

I walked the towpath downsream from Violettes Lock this PM.  Highlights:

About 300 Ring-billed Gulls mostly sitting on the smooth water at Blockhouse Point.  Also, six Bonnies flying up river at the same location.  When I returned 40 minutes later heading upstream, there were only four Ring Bills on the water and only a dozen or so in the air.  The rest had vanished!

In the large pond downstream, there were dozens of mallards, at leat 30 American Wigeon, a dozen Canada Geese, a dozen Black Ducks, and six Green-winged Teal.  Wigeon are seldom seen here.
