Good morning all,

While hiking with students at Piscataway Park/Hard Bargain Farm 
yesterday we stirred up 7 Dowitchers that were feeding in the large 
pools of standing water in the farm fields. Their backs were more of a 
brown/gray as described in one of my field guides but between poor 
viewing conditions and not being all that familiar with SB & LB 
Dowitcher differences I won't venture a guess as to which they were. 
Very nice to see though. I also stirred up two Eastern Meadowlarks in 
the farm fields a few days ago.
