Weather:
Partly cloudy; 48-64 degrees; fair visibility; winds from the west or
northwest, 6-12 mph

Raptor Observations:
Courting Cooper's and Red-tailed Hawks; a Bald Eagle chased an Osprey for
its fish, but finally gave up the pursuit as the Osprey out-maneuvered the
eagle.

Non-raptor Observations:
3 Red-breasted Mergansers; 5 Surf Scoters; 1 Pied-billed Grebe

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
