I decided to bird in the rain this morning rather than the wind this
afternoon, and glad I did. I walked the Red Trail of MPEA off Trotter Rd.
The highlights were:
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher along the river near Stop #13.
Yellow-throated Warbler past Stop #11 and along river and sewer pipeline.
This is my earliest date. Good looks. The bird was silent.
Palm Warbler (Yellow) 5 - 4 near the woodcock signs and 1 at Stop #13 on the
BLUE trail. This is where the small boardwalk and Wood Duck boxes are
located.
Black-and-White Warbler 3 - 1 at Stop #15 and 2 along the river with the
Yellow-throated warbler. One BAWW was singing its squeeky wheel song.
