This evening Bob Augustine first heard the gallinule vocalize at 7:20
from the parking lot. All the birders present gathered at the parking
lot and were able to hear the bird vocalize several times including a
couple full songs. Finally at about 7:50 we briefly saw the bird perch
up on the cattails.

Bob also had a couple Virginia Rails at the far end of the small dike.
