This afternoon there was a big movement of hundreds of cedar waxwings extending north of Pennyfield lock to above Violettes.  Also encountered an apparent graylag goose sleeping on the bank of the Potomac north of Violettes lock.

orchard orioles 2
prothonotary warblers 4
N parula - many
osprey
spotted sandpipers - 2 on Potomac
