Hi All:
Last night as I sat out on my porch I realized that I hadn't heard the
wood thrush call this spring. When I moved to this house that backs up on
Northwest branch park, I would hear wood thrush, towhees, catbirds and others
in the predawn and dusk chorus. Several years ago the towhee ceased to be
heard. Last year I heard no catbirds and now this year I only hear robins,
scarlet tanagers and cardinals. What a loss and a tragedy - not to hear
the fluting sounds of the wood thrush!

Hi Sally,
This Sunday I was complaining to Debbie Terry that this is the first
summer in over 40 years we have heard no wood thrush in the adjoining woods.
There is no construction in our surrounding area.
Scary isn't it?
