Kari and I spent most of the day along the border of Garrett and Allegany Counties. Thanks to some great tips from the Bird Couple, we got great looks at a few Henslow's Sparrows and heard a few more along Old Legislative Road. We had three Golden-winged Warblers at the same location, with one seen very well. Next stop was Finzel Swamp, where the highlights were a well viewed Hooded Warbler and Black-billed Cuckoo. A stop along Pea Ridge Road got us a bevy of Bobolinks. And finally, we had several Least Flycatchers at the south end of Frostburg Road. It was a beautiful day to be out.
