Good morning and Happy Fourth of July to all,

Still the Grasshopper Sparrow sings! Neat to get such good looks every day and watch its fluttery flight as it heads out into the (mowed) alfalfa field. Nothing too unusual this morning except for a trio of Eastern Phoebes perched on the fence at the vegetable garden, flying down to pick (hopefully) insects from it. I haven't seen a phoebe here since late March, so where've they been hiding?

Baby bluebirds around too, but these must be from an earlier brood. Mine still have 2nd broods in the boxes.

Huge numbers of June bugs out this morning, everywhere!
