I found an Olive-sided Flycatcher this evening on the snag just north of
the canoe launch at Governor Bridge. I watched the bird for a good 15
minutes as it was quite successful in catching insects. A few times it
would fly across the Patuxent to a slightly less conspicuous tree.
Eventually, however, a family of Red-bellied Woodpeckers chased it off
and laid claim to the dead tree.

This is now at least the fourth consecutive year an Olive-sided has been
seen on this exact snag!
