This morning at sunrise, two SEASIDE SPARROWS were in the short grasses on the Northern point of the park (closest to the lighthouse). The LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL continues. Just before I had to leave (currently serving jury duty!), a juvenile Bald Eagle got every gull up off the beach. The sight of hundreds of gulls taking to the skies in panic is always entertaining.
Terns: one Caspian, three Royal, one Common and six Forsters.
Peeps: one Spotted Sandpiper
Interesting to find a deceased bat in the North parking lot. It may have been two bats? One 'part' had wings and a portion of the back. The other looked like a bat with no wings. Odd.
Good Birding,
