My rain gauge topped out at 5.5 inches, as I didn't empty it mid-storm.  If anyone else has rainfall amounts, especially from Anne Arundel County, I'd be very interested to know what you recorded.

I hadn't thought about that - the same thing happened to our Bradford pear.  Last year the birds were feeding on its fruit through almost the whole winter, although the year before the fruit all seemed to go in one early winter feeding frenzy.
