Conn Warbler and Yellow-breasted Chat at Ft. Dupont Park

Hi all,

Both these species were reported captured in the park by banders
yesterday and I was able to find both today, although I'm not sure the
Conn was the same indiv, as I saw a prob female based on hood color,
and they captured a male. (Lifer COWA, and good long looks, I am
pumped). Chat being quite vocal, making lots of "tuk" calls. Got great
looks at both, details below.

Connecticut Warbler  1     Great looks, along trail that spurs off of
back side of amphitheater field (blue trail markers). After second
foot bridge (1st is by field), there is a grassy trail that goes down
to the right into brambly opening. Bird flushed up about 25m down
trail on left side. Probably different bird than caught at park
yesterday, as this one appeared more female. Large warbler, fleshy
bill, pale gray hood, complete eye-ring, under-tail coverts extending
nearly to the tip of tail. No bands.

"Summer Stage" amphitheater field. 2nd time had clear views at <2m.
Yellow breast, dark lores, white spectacles and some white malar.
Probable male. Large tanager-sized warbler with dark bill, making a
lot of "tuk" calls. One was reported captured in mist nets yesterday
about 0.5 km away from this location. Did not have clear look at legs
for bands
