Jessup yard birding - 10/6/11

Hi everyone,

Before heading off to work, I got in some nice birding this morning in my yard.  A good number of birds with the highlight being 5 species of woodpeckers and 6 species of warblers in my 3/4 acre yard.

Canada Goose - flyover "v" of 11
Mourning Dove - 2
Chimney Swift - flyover of 3
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 1 male
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1 immature (FOS for yard)
Downy Woodpecker - 1 male
Hairy Woodpecker - 1 male
Pileated Woodpecker - 1 flyover
Eastern Wood Pewee - 1
Blue Jay - 3
Am. Crow - 1 flyover calling
Carolina Chickadee - 4
Tufted Titmouse - 3
Carolina Wren - 1 singing
Eastern Bluebird - 6!  All sitting in a dead oak off in the woods.
Am. Robin - 4
Gray Catbird - 1
Northern Parula - 1 male
Black-and-White Warbler - 1 female
Magnolia Warbler - 1 HY bird
Black-throated Green Warbler - 2 together in a large Pin Oak.
Pine Warbler - 1 male
Am. Redstart - 1 female
Nortern Cardinal - 1 male
Eastern Towhee - 1 calling
Chipping Sparrow - 4  All sitting in the "bluebird oak".
White-throated Sparrow - 2  (FOS for yard)
Common Grackle - 3 flyovers
Am. Goldfinch - 1 female
House Finch - 5  All sitting in the "bluebird oak".
