Morning all,
I was hoping for a better showing today but only a few things around, including a few first of season birds, and some lingering migrants. Saw my FOS Yellow-rumped Warbler, but only one, working the leftovers in our vegetable garden, and had an Indigo Bunting, perhaps the last of the season for here, in the corner scrubby bushes. I also had several FOS White-throated Sparrows, and the ubiquitous Chipping Sparrows. I saw several Chimney Swifts flying around overhead, but they usually linger at least through the Big Sit if not a bit later. Saw a Gray Catbird skulking in the undergrowth of the back hedgerow, an Eastern Phoebe flycatching from the trees, and bluebirds are everywhere lately too.

Looking forward to a fun time on Sunday's Big Sit!
