Hey everyone,
Jared Satchell and birded Pickering Creek this evening from 5pm to
6pm. It was very birdy with impressive sparrow numbers (mostly Song
and Swamp). Our best find was a Clay-colored Sparrow associating with
a flock of Field and White-crowned Sparrows on the trail from the
parking lot to the pond platform. The Clay-colored Sparrow gave us
prolonged looks from about 10 feet away as it sat up in a bush with
two immature White-crowns. Also present were four Palm Warblers and
two Common Yellowthroats.
