Hi all,
Birdy at Aspen Hill Rec area this morning. Lot of squirrel activity and woodpeckers very active; saw 6 species.
A lone Red-tail Hawk perched eating it's breakfast, (one less squirrel) when a single crow flew by calling. Needing reinforcements, it took off and came back with 20 of its clan in order to rout the hawk. The hawk decided to vacate, and eventually the crows lost interest. Got close views of Cedar Waxwings picking berries off vines, and two Yellow-rumped Warblers which I haven't seen of late.
