After enjoying the Denton Black-headed Grosbeak with John Hubbell 
Saturday morning, I checked a few areas in Caroline county for 
waterbirds.  Found little in the way of waterfowl, but did find a Lesser 
Black-backed Gull (adult or near-adult) among several gulls loafing on 
the pilings at Choptank Marina.  First December eBird record for the 
county.  Also had 10 Eastern Meadowlarks along Poplar Neck Road.
