Hi Everyone,

Recent Pied Crow location: 39.217584,-76.615661

I've received a number of questions about the location of the Pied Crow sightings. It has recently been seen inside the Baltimore beltway (695), but still in northernmost Anne Arundel County. The bird has been seen - very inconsistently - throughout southern Baltimore since at least 2006, but has recently been observed a few times in the same general area. When my wife described the bird on her drive to work, and with it being winter, I wondered if the bird might have a schedule. Then Matt Hafner saw it on a wire near El Salto Restaurant around lunchtime.

This was my first time trying for it, and we found it at Ritchie Highway Shopping Center (Shoppers, Hollywood Video) by stopping at the first gathering of gulls and Fish Crows I saw. I would say anywhere within a few blocks of this shopping center or El Salto Mexican restaurant is worth checking. The three recent sightings are only from early morning to lunchtime, with my recent sighting at 9:20 a.m. I have no idea if the bird is around in the afternoon. By the way, this isn't the best part of Baltimore, so be be mindful of that with wandering around or leaving items in your car.
