I apologize to everyone on list. A week or so ago I sent a post out listing
upcoming mid-winter birds counts including a January 21 date for the 2012
C&O Canal Count. I received word yesterday from DC Audubon that this year's
count has been cancelled.

I am not privy to the exact details of why this has occurred except to say
that the count has no compiler for this year.

Again, I am sorry I did not catch this earlier. John Christy, MOS
Webmaster, has corrected the MOS Website and I have alerted the
Allegany/Garrett, Washington, Frederick and Montgomery Bird Clubs.
