Quick note. I had two Cackling Geese at the boat lake in Patterson Park today just over an hour ago (probably around 2:40). They were small, much closer in size to the Mallards than to the three Canada Geese also present. They also showed neat rounded heads, small thick bills and an overall darker color (especially on back and breast).
