Hi All,

Nancy and I were heading home from Chestertown on Flatland Road (MD-514)
and noticed some hunch-backed black birds in a thick algae mat onone of
the shallow ponds off to the west of the road and north of the
intersection with Mary Morris Road. We stopped and looked through
binoculars at a flock of nine adult-plumage GLOSSY IBISES. This has long
been a nemesis for me in Kent County so it was a great pleasure seeing
them stitching up and down in the algae mat with their fairly hefty
decurved bills. The time of the observation was about 4:15 PM.

Good Birding,

Walter Ellison & Nancy Martin

Chestertown, MD

Observing Nature is like unwrapping a big pile of presents every time
you take a walk.
