Hi Rick and all

Fletcher's Cove is in NW DC. It's on the Tow Path (next to the Potomac River), about a mile north west of Key Bridge.

Getting there by car in the morning is not easy before 10:15am (one way rush hour direction) - you will have to drive from the Chain Bridge direction down Canal Road towards DC. Also, if you come from MacArthur Blvd, remember you CANNOT make a left off of Arizona Ave during that time either. Of course, you can also cycle (what I do to get to work) or walk there from a nearby neighborhood.

After 10:15am the birding will probably be just as good anyway - its not really morning migrant trap - but does have a few interesting species (and is a nice walk).

Below are a few links that should help:

And as Wallace always says: Have fun birding!
