Hi Everybody: I spent a full day birding on Wednesday, starting in Anne Arundel at Swan Creek, Susquehanna St. Pk., and then sevaral locations in both Cecil and Kent Counties. When I returned home I had to go into work for a few hours and am back there now so here is a brief summary of my day.

SWAN CREEK (CELLS)
     N. Shoveler (4), Ruddy Duck (212), Lesser Scaup (8), Spotted Sandpiper (2),
Greater Yellowlegs (1) and Caspian Tern (11). There was no sighting of the previously reported Black-bellied Plover.

SWAN CREEK (WETLANDS):
Blue-winged Teal (2), Little Blue Heron (3), Snowy Egret (1), Lesser Yelllowlegs (1), Dunlin (1), Wilson's Snipe (3), Swamp Sparrow (10). Common Yellowthroats (4) and Marsh Wrens (2) were singing nonstop were singing the entire I was at the wetlands. I was at Swan Creek form &:30 AM to 9 AM.

HARFORD COUNTY - SUSQUEHANNA ST. PK. - STAFFORD RD and DEER CREEK PICNIC AREA:
The entire time I was there in mid to late morning there was a steady drizzle of rain falling and the birds seem to be ver quiet. I heard at least 6 N. Parulas and only 1 Yellow-throated Warbler. Other than several Blue-gray Gnatcatchers I did not have much of an other signs of spring.

TYDINGS MARINA IN HAVRE de GRACE:
Bonaparte's Gulls (275) and Caspian Terns (18) - no early shorebirds).

COURTHOUSE POINT MHA (need a permit to enter) - 1:30-3pm:
Great Egret (6), Little Blue Heron (1), White-eyed Vireo (1), Common Yellowthroat (9) and Swamp Sparrow (13) - no ealry shorebirds.

BETHEL MHA (permit needed to enter) - 3:20-3:40PM:
Green-winged Teal (11), Blue-winged Teal (2), Glossy Ibis (7), Greater Yellowlegs (1) and Wilson's Snipe (5). There were 3 species of swallows flying around (Tree, Barn and N. Rough-winged).

As I was getting ready to leave and retrace my route home to Gaithersburg I received a message from Dan Small that the Kent Co. Glossy Ibis found by Walter Ellison were just seen by him. I could not pass that up since I was merely in a neighboring county. At 4:40 PM there were still 4 Glossy Ibis along the northern of 2 ponds along Flatland Rd. Thanks to Walter's great find and Dan's update. Now since I was in Kent Co. I decided to bird there for several more hours.

KENT CO. - REMINGTON POND at CHESAPEAKE FARMS:
     N. Shoveler (165), Gadwall (42), Green-winged Teal (11) and Greater Yellowlegs (11). At the turnaround there were 2 White-crowned Sparrows.

CHESAPEAKE FARMS WILDLIFE TOUR - I was happy to see that the drive was open and slowly worked my way through it from 6-6:40 PM. A Wild Turkey crossed the road at two different locations. Only warblers seen or heard were Common Yellowthroats, Brown Thrashers were actively singing. Shorebirds included 1 of Yellowlegs and a Wilson's Snipe.
