On May 12  I canoed Corkers Creek in the Shad Landing area of Pocomoke 
River State Park.  It's just over a mile long.  I heard 11 
prothonotaries on the way "upstream" and about an equal number on the 
return trip.  (I say "about" because I missed the turn into the marina, 
so my return distance was different, and unknown.)  It was a delight to 
paddle among these beautiful and active birds!
