Good evening all,
This evening, just before 6, I watched an adult Red-headed Woodpecker fly into the trees that border our backyard. It was chased out of this tree after landing only briefly, by a Blue Jay, then it flew and landed in another tree along the edge of our yard. I ran into the house, grabbed the scope and called to my wife to come see, but of course by the time we got back out and had the scope set up, the bird had disappeared. I had another adult RHWO fly over me on Saturday morning as well.

Also watched 4 newly fledged baby bluebirds through the scope as they sat together in the trees in back, occasionally being fed by the parents.

Had both oriole species in the yard this morning too. This evening the gorgeous male paid us another visit.
