Some time after 7:30 p.m. this evening the 4 Mute Swans that were at the
Waverly Stormwater Pond, flew off to the SE.
Kurt Schwarz was able to get a picture of them on the ground and in flight.

There are captive pet Mute Swans in Howard at Fulton Pond, Beaverbrook, and
Turf Valley. These swans don't fly. I have heard one of their purposes it
to keep geese away. It does not appear to be working.

The Alder Flycatcher was still singing and calling at Mt Pleasant Howard
Conservancy. From the parking lot walk west, past the barn and work your
way towards Rt 99. The Alder Flycatcher spot is in the new wetlands on the
north side of Rt 99 and due north of the east end of Waverly Stormwater
Pond.
