gulls

This if for those of you who do not like the crowds at Patuxent and have
not yet come to appreciate the ambiance of your local landfill. 

This morning, there is a near adult Lesser Black-Backed Gull (pure white
tail, but some black on bill) at the Blaidensberg Marina, PG MD.

The marina is just south of route 450 at the Anacostia river and is always
a worthwhile stop if you are in the area.  Today, there were only about
200 gulls, but there are often thousands.  I suspect this is one of the
places Marshall was looking for which harbor the gulls when the landfill
is closed.  The Lesser is pretty regular here.
