Sorry, Phil, I have no idea at all why that doesn't work properly for
smartphone messages.  My suspicion is that the phone hasn't been properly
set up for sending messages to such an archaic venue as a Listserv, but
since I can't be bothered with a phone like that myself, that's only a
guess.
