Signing up for MDBirding
There are two options for signing up for the Google Group. You can either sign up with a Google account (recommended) or sign up with just an email address.
Benefits of signing up with a Google account include:
1) Being able to post from the web
2) Easily change your email preferences and display name.
If you already have a google account, sign up should be relatively easy. Just sign into your account and hit "Join this Group" on the MDBirding page or send an email to mdbirding+subscribe@googlegroups.com
For those new to google, it takes a few more steps,
1) Go to this page
3) Sign up for an account with your existing email address
4) Check your email and verify your email address
5) Come back to MDBirding and click "Join Group"
or send an email to mdbirding+subscribe@googlegroups.com

We also realize some people can't or don't want to sign up for a google account. For this reason, we have made a separate page to sign people up over email.
Again, please note that you will not be able to post from the web and you can't change your mail preferences without a moderator's assistance.
